Parents' Guide

Parents & Citizens Association (P. & C.)

The Parent and Citizen Association meets on the third Monday of every school month at 7.30pm. New members are always very welcome. The money raised by the P & C is used to provide additional equipment and resources which will benefit all our children. Kingscliff from the air - view to the south.

School Helpers

A number of parents and community members assist at the School with tutoring, classroom lessons or sporting activities.
Parents can also assist with the canteen and working bees to maintain the School grounds etc.
Parents are most welcome to assist with many of our School programs. Please contact the school if interested.

Visitors

All visitors to the school are required to sign in at the school office and obtain a visitors badge so they can readily identified . This also assists in the event of an emergency.

Core Rules

Student Discipline in NSW Government Schools.

All students in NSW government schools are expected to:

  • Attend every school day, unless they are legally excused, and be in class on time and prepared to learn.

  • Maintain a neat appearance, including adhering to the requirements of the school’s uniform or dress code policy.

  • Behave safely, considerately and responsibly, including when travelling to and from school.

  • Show respect at all times for teachers, other school staff and helpers, including following class rules, speaking courteously and cooperating with instructions and learning activities.

  • Treat one another with dignity and respect.
  • Care for property belonging to themselves, the school and others.
  • Behaviour that infringes on the safety of others, such as:-
    • harassment
    • bullying
    • illegal or anti-social behaviour of any kind
    will not be tolerated.

Code Of Conduct

  • No violence, discrimination, harassment, bullying or intimidation.
  • Peaceful resolution of conflict.
  • No weapons.
  • No illegal drugs, alcohol or tobacco.
  • No cruelty or ill treatment of animals.
  • Respect for teachers.
  • Respect for other students and their property.
  • Courtesy to other students, to teachers and to community members.
  • Adherence to the school uniform code.
  • Compliance by students with all school rules and the school discipline policy.
  • Acceptance by parents and care givers of the shared responsibility for student discipline.
  • Safety at school and at all school activities.

  • At all times - courtesy, fairness and respect to each other.
